Abstract

jungle is heritage for offspring as well as God blessing that we always take care, because it existence is very important for life in the world. Jungle must be kept and be continuous. Indeed, we realize that jungle or trees is water reservoir and air neutralizer, but actually most of jungle is cut without good planning. In today contexts, disaster such as flood, landslide and poor air are back grounded by jungle destruction and its ecosystem. The making of this work through three steps namely exploration such as idea resource exploration, design, and realization thruogh looking for creative and innovative new form based opn modrn sclupture rule. Work realization use wood lump media, copper alloy using mosaic technique, cast and welding. In its realization, it emphasize on expression without leaving meaning and implicit message in creation idea resource. Work creation is not only related to visual beauty, but also related to meaning and work content. Work with three dimension form is visualization from illegal logging and its by product such as wood lump. The meaning from real form in art that created is expression of feeling and observation process on phenmena that happen in Indonesian jungle. This creation is hope to be able to one of effort to attract people symphathy and make mistake in value of jungle and plant existence so that they cannot continuous further namely jungle exploitation out of normality

Abstract

explore the value – the value of tradition and preserve the noble values of the nation merepukan a form of love of culture and treasures of the nation one of the efforts made, namely to let the tradition (art) is still alive according to its time and place it in proper place with the values and traditions do not remove itself and let the art was developed in order to stay alive and there for example art Kunoung Tupai Janjang in the middle of the social life of society Kerinci-Jambi. Initially kunoung Tupai Janjang is just a folk tale that is told (in his tale), which is also called the theater said, due to the modernization of society, the habit of storytelling is shifted even abandoned. To maintain the tradition of spoken (storytelling) of which is to innovate new ways to transform the theater said this in the form of one-man play performed by brahim.then make the theater said Kunoung Tupai Janjang as spirit to the development of modern theater. thus the theater said as one of the traditional arts will continue to live and develop in accordance with its time.

Abstract

Pariaman has a culture that does not belong to other regions, that is, the culture of “Bajapuik”. It is a proposal from the bride to the groom where the bride family has to present some money (in the form of gold coins) or other valuable things to the bride family; it is called uang jemputan (drowsy). The presentation of drowsy is called bajapuik. It is a requirement that must be fulfilled by the bride familty before the marriage is to take place. It is also a form of respect shown by the bride family to the groom family. A problem may occur in bajapuik tradition when the bride comes from other regions outside Pariaman. This is a phenomenon that will be expressed in a music composition

Traditional Art as one of tourism sector object especially cultural tourism experience of transformation bearing various artistic form of culture popular. Abstract

Literature that developed in communities around the world, conveyed in many ways one of which is delivered by oral, then called oral literature. When viewed from the history of human life, oral literature comes into this world is as old as human existence on earth, because literary writings known to man can write after read. Thus also, this oral literature is everywhere. As the oldest literature in human life, then there is little oral literature has a very significant role in shaping the character, culture and human behavior. In Minangkabau, oral literature is one of them known as bakaba. Kaba, the story brings many moral messages. Kaba is growing in Minangkabau society is inseparable from the tradition maota very popular in the lives of Minang. Kaba, usually also tells of the legends that have the formation of human morality, he is locality. Abstract

Interdepence of the art of dance dan its accompanying music means interrelation between the two. The performance of a dance is usually accompanied by a music, in certain occasion the performance does not use a music at all. The definition of dance usually emphasises that dance is a human expression through rhythmic and beautiful body movement and the movement is the expression of its creator to communicate directly with the audience.Body movement in a dance performance contains rhythmic elements as can be found in music, so the performance is close related to music which also contains important rhythmic elements.Music and dance has rhythm as the basis of their movement. Music can express abstract aspects of movement. It can also express the easiness and difficulty of movement. But not all music can be use to accompany a dance performance. Basically, the selection of music for a dance performance should be based  on its limitation and contribution to the performance

Abstract

Talempong pacik is a traditional ensemble that can be found all over Minangkabau region. It has a variety of instrumentation and song repertoire, but the musical concept is the same; it uses interlocking technique to build the melody. The basic principle in talempong pacik ensemble is playing melodious motifs by three talempong players by emphasizing the improvization aspect. There is an impression that the sounds of talempong are arguing aginst each other, an analogy to the concept of dialectic, that is, the skill to converse and argue based on the right argument and logic. Abstract

Oboe instrument first time created by Jean Hotteterre and Michel Philidor in the year 1660, and  first time used in writing in music partitur in the year 1671 in activity opera "Pomone" Robert Cambert of masterpiece in Paris. Oboe Instrument experience of the growth differentiating the instrument with the shwam instrument. One of its growth form bell and there are baluster of instrument tabletop, while equalizing the individuality from that instrument using mouthpiece of consisted  three separate shares that is, staple, piroutte, and reed. Oboe growth of instrument at present day that goes on during 90 year can be assumed two period, and three ' key'. During century of XIX of instrument of oboe a lot of experiencing of growth in its effort improve;repair the intonation and water down the finger. The growth with the addition process six ' key'.  Technique play at the oboe majored to be divided by into two form, 1) Body position and way of holding instrument, this matter is more addressed to respiration technique for example: shoulder exhalation, chest exhalation, stomach exhalation, and diaphragm exhalation 2) recognition Ambasir with the especial target hit is the function of ambasir and forming ambasir.

Abstract

Pipat tradition would be referred to a type of traditional music which was once court music in Thailand.  At present, the tradition is abundantly in practice in central Thailand.  The details of Pipat tradition are discussed briefly in different perspectives in order to understand the whole panorama of the present Pipat tradition phenomena. In the post-genocidal war era, Pinpeat still prevails and retains its strength culturally.  It can be reflected from widespread, intensive practice of the tradition in ritual or ceremony, as part of Cambodian way of life. The emergence of Donti Puenmuang has a great effect to the court Pinpat tradition in many facets.
